Caravan Moving LLC is a licensed, insured Washington household goods carrier. Local, long-distance, and interstate. Every move starts with a free written estimate before anyone touches a box — that isn't a promotion, it's state law, and we follow it.

No charge to look. No obligation. A real person picks up.

The differentiator

The lift gate
is the difference.

A truck without a lift gate loads off a ramp. Your washer, safe, treadmill, piano, or pallet gets muscled up an incline — which is where things get dropped and backs get hurt.

Our 24-foot truck has a hydraulic lift gate. Heavy and awkward items ride up level and go on flat. It's safer for the item and safer for the crew, and it's why commercial customers call us for gym equipment, appliances, and palletized freight.

Get a written estimate for this size

These are typical figures for planning, not a quote. Estimated weight uses the 7 lb per cubic foot basis from Washington Tariff 15-C. What you actually own, how much is boxed, and how the truck packs will move these numbers. Your real number comes from a free written estimate after we look at your things — which is what state law requires and what we do on every job.

The process

How a move with us works

Washington regulates household goods movers closely, and every step below is a rule we follow. If a mover skips one of these, that tells you something.

1

You call, a person answers

Not a call centre, not a form that gets read tomorrow. We ask what you're moving, from where, to where, and when.

2

We look at your things

Washington requires a mover to visually inspect the goods before the move unless you waive it in writing. We'll come out, or walk it with you on video for smaller jobs.

3

You get a free written estimate

In writing, before any work starts, at no charge. A verbal number over the phone is not a legal estimate in this state, and we won't pretend it is.

4

You choose your protection level

Your bill of lading lists the valuation options available under the state tariff. We explain each one and you pick. We also hand you the UTC's Consumer Guide to Moving.

5

Nothing gets added without your signature

If the job grows past what we estimated, we stop and write a supplemental estimate. You sign it before the extra work begins. No surprise line items at the truck door.

6

We finish, you inspect, we settle up

Walk the truck and the rooms with us before we close it out. Cash, card, or check.

Why people hire us

Three things that decide a move.

Not slogans. These are the differences you actually feel on the day.

The owner runs your job

Victor takes the call, does the walkthrough, and is on the truck. The person who quotes you is the person responsible when the door opens — not a dispatcher passing a ticket to a crew you have never spoken to.

A lift gate on a 24-footer

Most trucks this size load off a ramp. Ours goes up level, which is the difference between a washer riding up flat and four people wrestling it up an incline. It is why commercial customers call us for appliances, gym equipment and pallets.

The paperwork is right

Written estimate before work starts. Bill of lading with the valuation options explained. Supplemental estimates signed before any extra work. And a damage claim process published in full, deadlines included.

Questions we actually get

Straight answers.

How fast can you actually come out?

Usually the same week, and often sooner in the slower months. Call and ask — we'll tell you what's genuinely open rather than book you in and hope.

Do you charge for the estimate or the walkthrough?

No. The written estimate is free and there is no obligation attached to it. Washington requires a licensed mover to give you one before any work begins, so anyone charging you for it is doing something unusual.

What if my stuff doesn't all fit?

Then we tell you that before moving day, not during it. Use the load tool above for a rough read, and we'll confirm it at the walkthrough. A large four-bedroom house usually needs two trips with one truck, and that's a scheduling conversation, not a surprise.

Are you insured, and can I check?

Yes, and yes. Cargo and public liability / property damage cover are both on file with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission. Our permit is THG072095 and you can look it up at utc.wa.gov before you hire us.

Do I need to be there on the day?

Someone does. Washington expects the customer or an appointed agent to be present for packing, loading, unloading and unpacking, and you'll want to inspect before signing the delivery paperwork. If you can't be there, tell us who is and we'll put them on the bill of lading.

Can you do the carpets too?

Not us — that's a separate company. King Carpet Cleaning handles carpet cleaning and we coordinate scheduling with them, which matters because most Washington leases want professional carpet cleaning before the deposit comes back. Two companies, two invoices, one phone call to line both up.

What don't you move?

Hazardous material — propane, fuel, paint, ammunition — plus live plants and pets. Keep cash, jewellery, documents and anything irreplaceable with you rather than on the truck. Full list here.

Moving out of a rental?

Your lease probably wants the carpets cleaned too.

Many Washington leases require professional carpet cleaning before the deposit comes back. King Carpet Cleaning is a separate, licensed and insured company we work alongside — they can clean the carpets the same week we empty the place. Two companies, two invoices, one phone call to line both up.

Calling is fastest — we pick up. If you'd rather type it out, this takes about a minute and we'll ring you back.

10 digits — this is how we reach you.

We'll send your written estimate here if you'd like a copy.

City or ZIP is enough.

If you don't know yet, write "not sure".

Flexible? Leave it blank.

The more detail here, the more accurate the estimate.

That didn't send. Most likely a connection hiccup on the way out. Nothing has been lost — your details are still in the form. Call (360) 339-3129 instead

We'll call you back to set up a walkthrough. A written estimate is free and there is no obligation. We don't share your details with anyone.

Got it — we'll call you back.

Your request is in. We'll ring you to set up the walkthrough, usually the same day. If you'd rather not wait, call us now and we'll pick up.
