Every piece of furniture goes into moving blankets, everyday pieces included. Runners go down on the floors, and doorframes and banisters are padded at both ends before anything is carried past them.
Unpacked and placed
At the new home, furniture goes where you want it, boxes are emptied and the packing material leaves with us. You walk the rooms and the truck with the crew before we close out.
The same crew at both ends
The people who pack and load your things are the people who unload them. We have no warehouse and no second company, so nothing changes trucks on the way. Nothing about your move is discussed outside the crew.
It starts with a walkthrough
Washington requires a visual inspection before a mover quotes, and on a white glove job we see every room. That way the free written estimate covers what is actually in the house.
A number over the phone isn't a legal estimate, so nobody packs a box until we have looked. If the job grows past the written estimate, a supplemental estimate is written and signed before the extra work starts.

What protects your things, in plain terms.
Every household goods move carries a valuation option on the bill of lading. We explain the options before anything is signed, and you choose. Jewellery, cash and irreplaceable documents travel with you on every job.
Basic protection, or replacement cost
Basic protection costs nothing extra and pays a set amount per pound per item, whatever the item is worth. The two replacement-cost options cost extra and are based on the declared value of your things. Choose nothing and replacement cost with a deductible applies.
Antiques and fine art
The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission's moving guide says the replacement-cost options do not apply to antiques, fine art, paintings, statuary, or items whose age or history makes up much of their value. Point out pieces like that at the walkthrough, before you choose a valuation option.
